Terrified of secondary bowel cancer

I was diagnosed with low rectul cancer in April 2018.

Had Apr surgery August 2018 and histology was stage 2 no mo and no further treatment needed. 

Well then I had my yearly ct scan and have 9mm and 10mm lesion on left lung and now need pet scan. 

All I have seen is how secondary cancer is not curable. 

I am 47 years old and terrified 

Anyone else had this

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Hayley although I'm sorry for what was found on your yearly scan.

    It's completely understandable, and natural, to be worried but if you can try not to panic or let your mind run away from you until you've got the results from your scan. I'm sure our members who have been in a similar position will know what you're going through at the moment and will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

    We'll have everything crossed that this isn't secondary cancer Hayley.
