Urgent referral

Hi I found a lump on my jawline. Went to GP and was referred to maxifacial clinic for urgent 2 week appointment. The 2 weeks is up this Wednesday. Received a letter today from ENT saying I have an appointment with them on 14/11/19. This means a month after I saw my GP

The lump has now grown so much in 2 weeks that is noticeable. (it's about 4 inches by 2 inches and has spread up my cheek) I can no longer use a spoon to eat with as my mouth won't open properly . Can't even eat a banana.

I've told my GP and he said he'll try and bring the appointment forward. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to be seen sooner please?

Hi there ...
I'm sure with that lump growing so quickly, id tell G P it's now urgent if you cannot eat properly .. or I'd go to A and E and show them and tell them you can't eat now ....
Fingers crossed ... but now be firm ... you need to know what it is ... Chrissie x

Hi Chrissie, thank you so much for replying to me. I'll go to A&E tomorrow. I don't like to pester people but I'm now scared as it's growing so quickly. It's also a very hard lump so doesn't feel fleshy, like an abscess. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and yes, I will be firm x

Hi cazzyjojo - did you have an answer? I have two small lumps around my jawline and it's really worrying me. I have ENT appointment in a week - wondering if you got to the bottom of it
