I'm 29 with 5 kids and been spotting between periods and after sex for a few months now, also having terrible back pain. I had a normal smear in July 2018 but was referred to gynecology for the urgent 2 week wait for a colposcopy I ended up not having it done due to pain so now got to wait to be re referred to somewhere else to have the colposcopy done with a spinal. I imagine your gp has referred you to gynaecology as a precaution and they will offer you a colposcopy to look at your cervix in more detail . I know its hard but try and stay positive I know the fear is beyond belief xx

Hi,thanks for your reply butterfly girl123 i just hope it's not too long of wait for both of  us and can get to the bottom of it I've only got the 1daughter and its hard to pretend everything's ok I've got half my brain carrying on as normal and the other half thinking allsorts can't imagine having all this going on and looking after 5 xx

I have been bleeding after sex (a lot!)and spotting, with mild back ache for two years.. however I was seen back then but got informed it was just BV, fast forward two years and I'd finally had enough of it as not just a trickle of blood. 
I saw my doctor on a Monday, who looked and swabbed. 24 hours later I had call from the hospital and was seen 48 hours after that! 3 cervical biopsy's taken and aspiration one done at coloscopy. My two week deadline for results is tomorrow! 
 

it's been the worst two weeks I've ever had to deal with, it's the unknown and not being in control that I don't like

The good thing being referred is that your now heading in the right place to get answers. I'm sure everything will be fine, x

Hello lilly09 ,firstly good luck for tomorrow will be thinking of you and secondly thanks for the reply when i saw the gp i mentioned i was diagnosised with bv before and wondered if that could have anything to do with it she didn't say anything i think reading others stories on here has helped me realise am better off waiting to see  a trained gynogoligst  than going by the look of my gps face lets us know how you go tomorrow please  xx

Aww bless you, I had a phone call from the hospital from when I went to a and e last week with severe back pain, told me I have e coli in my urine! I have no idea what that means, went back to my gp yesterday too they are hopefully referring me to have the colposcopy with a spinal. I hate not knowing and like you say when you have kids it's an even bigger worry.. I hope you hear from your gynecologists soon though chick and that you get the answers you need xx

Morning, the reason I left mine 2 years before returning was as I assumed it was re occurring BV causing the issues. But swabs for infections came back clear. 
 

I feel quiet positive at the moment, as times gone on who knows how that may change if I get my call today! Or letter, like us all it's the unknown and wait that causes the emotional rollercoaster . 
I will let you know my results as soon as I hear x

Thankyou ladies i have just had a phone call and my appointment for coloscopy is next Friday so things are moving fairly quick,any body else had any news today? X

I'm still waiting my results, the 2 weeks as they said was today. Don't think I can go another weekend wondering!
