abdominal ultrasound scan all clear....

I had a smear test last week and currently waiting on the results for this. I have had 2 back since, both negative with regards to swabs for infections. I have not had any main results as yet back.

I have just had an abdominal ultrasound scan at the doctors where they looked at my ovaries and uterus. At the end of the scan they said that they would give the results to my doctor. My husband then asked whether the results showed anything, to which they both told me there is no cancer and they said everything was fine and nothing to worry about. I of course am still worrying as I am not sure whether the smear test may pick up something that the scan missed.

Does anyone have any advice on this please as I am worrying constantly and feel like I need to see the smear results before I can feel better.

I'm not sure what symptoms or problems you're dealing with at the moment but it's good to hear that your swabs and ultrasound have come back with clear results.
Cervical screening (a smear test) checks the health of your cervix. The test is a way of preventing cancer. It aims to pick up cell changes that could develop into cancer if left untreated. You can find more information here.
Your ultrasound and cervical smear are different tests, looking at different areas and different things so it's difficult to say what results you may have back from your smear. But at the moment it's important to remember that all your results have come back clear and the Dr said there was nothing of concern on the ultrasound.
