First mammogram

Hi had my first mammogram today, have a history of lumpy boobs, breast scare 2years ago, ultrasound saw small benign no issues is situ on left breast above nipple, no concerns hormonal!,this time round I have had a mammo and a ultra today, after  an emergency trip to the gp last week not because I've lumps but all other symptoms I've lost a couple dress sizes in a year or so,, toilet habits have changed urine is dark amber to brown, I have itchy neck from ears to chest and and breasts with rash that comes or goes.. I sleep all the time breathless, fatigue loss of appetite night sweats nausea and more but it was my gp who said I had a lump in each breast and referred me to breast clinic but today the radiographer said she sees no concern and both breasts appear clear and I just have to return for a follow up with the consultant next month.... My question is do I really need the follow up with the consultant next month when the radiologist has confirmed today at my app that  there's no lumps,, bumps and to be told its hormonal again!.. I'm 41 & they are considering pre menopausal.. Has any one have this sort of experience

  • Hi seven19

YOur mammogram sounds reassuring. However, your other symptoms are not. Do you suffer a lot of stress?

I would still go to the follow up with the consultant to have second opinion and ask about your other symptoms

    as early as possible.

hope you get your answers soon.

let me know how you get on
