Is it in my head?

hey, so I’m 23 and used to a doctors surgery, I usually wait for weeks to see is symptoms subside before going to the doctors, but at the moment it seems like there’s quite a few things at once, first it started with body aches and pains, then joint pains.

i was tested for arthritis but came back fine, then I started getting severe abdominal pain, after a variety of tests they concluded it was ibs. During the blood tests, a test came back to reveal high haemoglobin levels which I don’t know much about, nor was I told what to do with this.

one day I was rubbing my stomach and found lumps on the lower portions of my ribs, they feel in between and under and aren’t painful to touch but move around, also found a few lumps after getting strange leg pain, and there are various shaped lumps behind my knee/thigh area.

i feel my doctors just pass me off because im young and I don’t want to waste my time again to go in and be told goodbye with no answers, so should I push this and get them checked out or am I overthinking something which is normal?

thanks

  • Hi Jamajana

Your age should be irrelvant when you have something that worries you. High haemoglobin levels can be down to dehydration, smoking, alcohol. Doesnt look like your GP is concerned. We all have lumps and bumps on our body, yours sound like fat deposits (we all have them). However, I do think another trip to your GP would help put your mind at rest.
