Hi I'm sorry to here that , If I was you I would go back to your doctors and demand a referral to the hospital as to me it sounds like you need a colonoscopy just to double check and put your mind at rest , I was diagnosed with bowel cancer 5 week ago I thought I had IBS I went to the doctors and he referred me straight to the hospital where they did a colonoscopy and I found out the same day , do not give up and keep at them , I'm 46 and mine started 2 yr ago but like u I put it off thinking it was piles I don't want to scare u and it maybe nothing but I would get an appointment with your doctors and demand until they refer u , don't let them fob u off

Hi nics thanks for your reply I had the colonoscopy 5 months ago and it was clear but before I left i was told by one of the nurses the next stage would be a ct scan ... nothing has been mentioned ... they have said i dont have ibs but they gave me buscapan to take that flared my symptoms even more ... i feel like am banging my head against a brick wall with them because I am only 33 they just keep fobbing me off so fustrating.

U must go back to your doctors and mention that the hospital said they was going to give u a CT scan and tell them your symptoms have got worse and demand a referral as I ant be beating yourself up like this I had a ct and mri after my diognosis and they have been fantastic everything has happened so fast , don't think that u are a Nuisance by pestering them that's what they are there for it maybe nothing to worry about but u just need that reassurance , let me know how u get on x

Got my first one back which was testing me for bateria in the stomach all clear still waiting on the other one.

That's brilliant  news let's hope the other one comes back the same , do u feel a little better now ? X

No because that was to test my stomach for bacteria ie something ive eaten i will be phoning them monday morning and asking for a ct scan my bowels are worse and ive got no apitite to eat anything so anoying ... sorry for ranting lol
