Hi,

I know this is a worrying time for you but try not to look on Google as it will only increase your worry. If you feel the need to do so, just stick to websites like this one or Macmillan or the British Association of Dermatologists which are up to date. 

The dermatologist will take a good look at your freckles and will decide if they need removing for biopsy. They are experts in this type of skin problem and hopefully it will be something innocent (age spots from sun exposure) or one of the easily treatable skin cancers (basal cell or squamous cell). 

Try to keep yourself busy & distracted whilst waiting for your appointment which should be come through for the next week or two. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,
