Utterly defeated

So I'm 9 weeks after referral, had 4 appointments, a lymph node surgically removed and still don't know what is wrong. Have been told it is most likely Hodgkins (after an initial needle biopsy), built up to the appointment with results from the second biopsy to be told they had to send it for a second opinion and they didn't know exactly what type but it still might not be lymphom. There were tears of frustration, I have 2 kids and a family who don't know about this and it is really getting to me. Been referred to haematology now, on yet another 2 week wait but I really have lost faith in ever getting an answer. Meanwhile the lymph nodes in my neck have each swollen in turn and are now up to the top of my neck. Is there anything I can do? I feel like a zombie at the minute, on auto pilot to get through work, taking my children to school and their clubs etc and painting on a smile.

  • Hi there,

really feel for you being passed around, must be so annoying, my only advice is to keep chasing, another2 weeks to wait for haematology feels like a long time.

im 3 weeks in after my first biopsy, after being told it would be about a week and finally, I'm hoping, getting my results tomorrow but my collar bone lump has definitely grown since so I'm not expecting great news but we'll see,

I really hope you get some answers soon, take care x
