Hi all,
I'm just looking for a bit of advice please - my 57 year old father has had a persistent cough for the past 8 weeks and he's been for a PET scan, biopsy and CT scans etc and he's been called back in to see a specialist tomorrow for a diagnosis. The doctors have mentioned lung cancer but we are waiting for this to be graded.
I'm really hoping the lung cancer (if confirmed) has been caught early, he has no other symptoms other than being a bit hoarse and tired. At the moment, I'm more concerned about his mental health to be honest as he seems to be going straight to the worst possible outcome.
Does anyone have any coping mechanisms to reduce anxiety whilst we wait for the results?
Thanks in advance.
