I am hoping someone might be able to help. I had my smear just over a week ago. the nurse said while doing it i had a contusion and I bled a bit. She said it would take 6 weeks for results as there was a back log. This was my 2nd smear in 12 months as I had tested positive for HPV last year.

Anyway 1 week later i got a call from the gp saying I had abnormal cells and would get a call from colposcopy. That was 2 days ago. My result letter came yesterday and it says I am positive for HPV and have cell changes and they need treating. No further info than that.  My letter seems different to the average 1, did anyone have a similar experience?
