Sometimes biopsies are sent to another hospital for a second opinion or to to provide further information.

The biopsy will be giving additional information to the ultrasound - the ultrasound results may not be conclusive enough and/or they may wish to give you all the information at once.

Hi so I have a bit of an update in that I have to now have an open biopsy because the results are inconclusive but they do suspect lymphoma from the ultrasound and I initial biopsy.

im having it under general as they might also need samples from my tonsils and adenoids too as they are part of lymphatic system. So I feel a bit better that we are on to the next stage as this is what we always suspected, especially as it has grown over the last 3 weeks,just hoping it will happen next week and things will move quickly
