So so scared help :(

Hi I'm tash I'm 26 and I put my smear off for a year due to fear now realised how silly that was. Yesterday I received a letter saying they have booked me an appointment for coloscopy in an oncology unit to me this means one thing they've found cancer. I'm absoloutley terrified. This is all within 13 days of my smear so they must be worried they have found severe dyskaryosis and I tested positive for hpv I would be so grateful for anyone's stories or opinions thanks in advance tash x

Hi there ...
I wouldn't panic too much .. they are probly just checking ... they are so good now at testing everything ... and it could be something simple ... fingers crossed ... let us know how you go .. your not alone we were all scared waiting for tests and results .. just try and keep as busy as possible...

Hi it went OK I guess I had cin3 I had leepz or whatever its called whilst I was there and 3 biopsy now its time to wait :( x

I'm in the same boat, just had the results of my 3rd smear in 18 months and it came back abnormal and within 2 days I got my appointment for a colposcopy which is on Wednesday so all super quick and scary! I am sure everything will work out fine for you , and it's most likely just cell changes , but I totally understand why you are scared it's hard not to be , please let me k ow how you get on, I am nervous about Wednesday but hopefully I will then have a clearer answer why my last 3 tests have been abnormal as that's all it says nothing more .
