Haven't seen that before!

I went to Dr after post menopausal bleeding. Had a scan and appt in women's unit next day. Dr said he'd never seen what I had! Called consultant in and he said same. Apparently the best description they can come up with is that it's like a varicose vein. They weren't sure where it came from or what it was so had an MRI scan on Monday. I got a call on Wednesday to say it was definitely in the virgina and they were booking me in next week for a biopsy. I got a call yesterday to say I'd also need a CT scan which is booked in for Sunday! Am I being over dramatic to be worried!

  • Hello Dilan,

You've done the right thing to go to the doctor's to get this checked out and it's good that they arranged for a scan and appointment the next day.

I hope you won't have to wait too long for your biopsy and CT scan results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these tests and then to get these important results.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
