Hi, hope you don't mind me posting and everyone is having a nice a day as possible today!!!
little background into myself I'm 31 have had Diarrhea on a pretty much daily basis for 18 months around 3 months ago I started passing blood, more bright red that would turn the toilet bowl water red then clots when I wipe. It then stops completely! It's not every time maybe 1/2 times a week! I can often be on and off the loo up to 6 times a day and notice sometimes when I start eating there's an urgency that I need to go to the toilet- which is frustrating as I love food!!!
two weeks ago both my husband and partner made me go to the doctors he referred me to a colorectal surgeon and I was seen last Saturday with an appointment for a colonoscopy for this coming Saturday.
we were due to fly to Tenerife on Monday but have been told we can't fly for 14 days if biopsy's are taken. bit of a pain but jet2 have been amazing over it!
so I have a couple of questions and was hoping somebody maybe able to answer!!
is it as bad as the internet says?
If there is something untoward like a tumour would they tell me there and then?
are biopsies just routinely taken?
how long does it take for them to come back?
the hospital advised that the chances of it being cancer are low and could be more ulcerative colitis- is it ridiculous to hope I'll have answers on Saturday?
Thanks for your help and any other advice is dearly welcomed!
lots of love Katie x
