Dreading tomorrow- Breast biopsy results

hi everyone, last Wednesday I had mammogram, scan & 3 biopsies from a lump in my left breast and one from under my armpit as one of my lymph nodes appeared swollen.

When I asked the DR she said she wasn’t sure if the lump was cancer, she said she was 50/50 & would need to wait for the biopsy results and that it didn’t look like a typical Fibroadenoma

I was supposed to get my results at the hospital I was tested at on Friday morning.

my appointment has now been moved to my local hospital at 5pm tomorrow at there “results clinic”.

im so worried, the lump in my breast was a perfect white circle on the mammogram around 1-2cm.

Has anyone else been in the situation or a similar one? I’m keeping this from my 10 year old son so far as he’s sensitive and a worrier.

  • Hello and welcome to the forum. The waiting is the worse part as the not knowing what’s going on. I had a lump last April, had mammogram then ultrasound scan then two core biopsies. A week later I was told they results were inconclusive and I would need to have the lump plus another one they found and tissue round out within 4 weeks. I had the lumpectomy done in just over two weeks. Then had a two week wait for results. Thankfully they came back benign. I know have yearly mammograms. Everyone is different and I will have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. Please let us know how you get on. X
