I doubt your biopsy results are back from the lab, usually takes 7-14 days. It’s standard practise  to have a mammogram, don’t know why they didn’t do this last Friday. The mammogram is a much better tool to evaluate a lump as it’s microscopic, I think they are just making sure they are getting their ducks in a row.. Best of luck for tomorrow x

Hi thank you for your response.they said on Friday that ultrasound is for women under 40. They wanted me to do mammogram today.but I have toddler and couldn't get to hospital today.i am really worried as they had said to me friday they discuss biopsy on Tuesdays.and they rang me today.i wasnt told I will be called for mammogram.i was told I have had my tests and now I will get results from biopsy in week time.

Hi, women under 40 can have dense breasts and they use ultrasound for that, I assume yours are not that dense hence why they want a mammogram to get a closer look, that doesn’t mean you have cancer, only a biopsy would be able to tell them that. I know all these tests are scary but they need to be thorough so that people given the ‘all clear’ can be confident that they are. x

Hello Leaw, I had my results unfortunately it was breast C stage 1 grade 3.its about 2cm.i need to go see the doc monday.and wait for call from fertility clinic. It was sad news.i just have episodes of crying. But I try to be strong got my little girl. How did u get on?

Hi girls,

i’m 37 years old and found a lump last week I have been to my gp and got referred to Breast clinic this saturday coming.

i always check my boobs atleast once a month but I wasn’t actually checking I kind of brushed past my right boob and felt a lump. 

After checking properly it didn’t feel like a lump I have had before in my left breast that was cyst 5 year ago. 

My gp said it’s about 1cm it is right above my areole upper breast but say it’s slightly to the left or middle of breast. 

It is hard and not an actual shape and isn’t smooth sided. 

I have a bad feeling it’s going to be C but I think if it is I would of caught it early. 

I’m asking for advice about how your lumps have felt. Mine is painless but for the last 5 days I have constantly been checking it my boob feels heavy if that makes sense and achy sometimes. 

I know they would have to do a biopsy to confirm the C but do they tell you if they think it is at the breast clinic I can’t stand the waiting. 

Many advice would be appreciated and hope you have a successful end to your story x

I'm 38 and have found the same , cant described how it feels but hard and doc said fixed , in the clinic in 2 days.  Hope your ok , its rubbish waiting,  sounds in a similar position yours. I think it depends if its a one stop clinic hun , but maybe bipodiws you need to wait 7 to 10 days. The ladies are so lovely on here and all have  battle so I'm sure someone will beable yo give advice. As for diagnosis everyone is different and one size dosent seem to fit all. Maybe check what's normal for your local area , then you can get an idea , mine had info on the appt letter. Hope you get peace of mind soon
