Symptoms for 3 months and found another lump, terrified!!

I've had symptoms for 3 months. Waiting to see a hematologist. I've had on and off fever, chills, lumps in my neck. All bloods are normal. This morning I noticed the area in front of my ear is tender. I opened my jaw and felt this area and a large lump sticks out. Its rock hard and quite big. I have chronic health anxiety and this has me even more convinced I must have something serious.  I'm a mess, shaking and terrified. This lump feels so sinister to me. Im so scared :(

    I'm sorry you've still got these symptoms 3 months on and have found another lump. It must be scary and frustrating to be contending with this, especially as you have chronic health anxiety. I know there isn't much I can say to make this situation any better but I just want you to know we're thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed it isn't anything sinister.

    Hopefully you don't have too long to go now until you see the haematologist.

    Most lumps and bumps turn out to be non serious and that's the sort of location where you might get an inflamed lymph node, they swell if you have an infection. If it's over 1 cm in size and still the same size or grwoing in a few days I'd go go back and see your gp again.

    Hi, how are you ? Please may I ask for an update on how you got on as I am completely the same. I am 32 with 2 boys and worried sick x
