Relief - but a long way to go...

Had my thyroid scan yesterday.  I was a wreck in that waiting room crying and shaking before even called in.

The 2 ladies I saw were lovely - put me at ease and understood my anxiety.

The scan was for the whole neck/chin, not just thyroid and did not hurt one  bit.

She said did i want to know my results? I was surprised as was expecting to be told it would be a few weeks, which i don;t think my anxiety would have coped with.

I do NOT have cancer! The relief is immense. But there is something wrong with the thyroid.  It is "very small" and indicated underactive. She seemed very surprised when I said I had been on levoythyroxine for 11 years on 100 MG a day.  But she will write to the doctors, and I hope to be passed to endochronology as I think it something to do with my adrenal glands.  The swollen lymph nodes that I had for months too have disappeared - which I find odd.

I do urge people to push for your appointments and keep fighting when doctors don;t believe you - you know your body more than anyone else does.

I do have pigmentation on my face - yet I don't sunbathe!

I have been getting one thing after another illness wise these last 6 and a half months and over the years very prone to upper respiratory infections.

I haven't been diagnosed as proper yet with this or Addison's disease etc. but there are so many symptoms that match what I have.

Feel free to give me any advice - it will be much appreciated x
