Inconclusive results

So I went for my second biopsy today and was told the 1st one came back inconclusive. The consultant explained if the second ones come back inconclusive the only way to get a definite diagnosis is to remove the 2 lumps and send off the whole sample. I asked outright if it could be cancer as this whole waiting game is driving me insane. She said she cant give a definite answer until they have the results but they are not ruling it out. They have booked me an appointment for the 8th October, but I am likely to be called in early once the results are back. The consultant did say I wont get the results until it's been discussed in the MD meeting and shes had chance to speak with surgeons.

I think the worst part about this whole situation is the waiting game.

  • Hi JulesSarah

I know that lots of our members here will agree that the waiting is one of the hardest parts of the whole process. The "not knowing"  can be really difficult to manage.

Hopefully when you go for your next appointment the Consultant will be able to answer all of your questions and the treatment options will be clear for you.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
