i cant offer any advice but am in exactly the same situation as you - only im still waiting for my appointment a week after the referral was made :-(

lump on right side of neck with painful right shoulder which seems connected.  blood tests all ok but still in limbo waiting for appointment 

Im thinking of you both. The not knowing and worrying can drive you insane. I really hope you both get good results. I too am in the same boat except I have been waiting 3 months! My symptoms started with fevers, chills, sweats etc. I now have swollen nodes in my neck and waiting to see a hematologist. Its so hard to stay off google!

I went for ENT appointment on Thursday - I had a camera placed down my nostrils to see the back of my throat. I didn’t get any results there and then but the consultant has now referred me for an urgent biopsy (within 2wks he said) and I’m to see him again in 4wks. He said node was reactive and not to worry! Strange consultation with mixed messages really.

Bloods were fine.

Furthur symptoms since I last posted are: another neck lump has developed, original lump still there, Cough has worsened, a wheeze and general aches and pains including pain in armpits. Still feeling very tired most of the time.

i just don’t have a good feeling about this. 

Trying not to be too anxious though but easier said than done.

Sorry you have more symptoms! If he said the node is reactive then is the biopsy of something else? Its good hes seeing you in a month and you will have a biopsy done in the meantime. Although I am sure it feels like a lifetime away to you! 

I phoned hematology and they have a huge shortage of staff and two hematologists retired! She said it will be a few weeks before I get an appt! Ughhh

I’m so sorry to hear of your delay, haematology always seems to be understaffed. Rooting for you and hope it’s hurried up soon. I never realised just how anxious a time these things can be until I’m going through it myself

it was a very strange consultation in all honesty and he rushed it so much that I ended up being a little ‘curt’ to him which isn’t like me at all. He didn’t even offer local anaesthetic for the camera procedure!

i’m thinking the biopsy must be on the node as I can’t think what else he could biopsy as I don’t have any other lumps apart from the armpit ones but I neglected to tell him about those (from being rushed). We’ll see though.

i’ll just wait to see what the next two weeks bring now and trying to remain positive and trying to stop touching the lump because every time I do I get a bad feeling! Stressful times! Thinking of you x

Just a little update.

Biopsy is booked for October 24th and I will then have the results from my consultant on November 1st.

Feeling very anxious but trying to keep busy 

Lumps over 1cm are on a 2 week pathway. However for every one that needs treatment there are 100 that dont.

My biopsy is booked for them as well same day. I've got 4 or 4 enlarged nodes one is about 3cm and the rest about 1-1.5 I've got a gold ball sized one on my collar bone.

im so scared I'm constantly googling.

i won't actually get my results till November 14th.

Hi, I just registered to ask a very similar question so hope you don't mind me replying on here! I noticed a lump on my neck (approx 1.5cm wide)  9 days ago which I wasn't sure how long it had been there. A spot of googling and became a little concerned as it was hard, not moving, not painful - the things they say aren't good signs. I already had an appointment with a GP as had some bad itchy skin, so asked to bring it forward to also get the lump checked. I thought he'd say it was nothing to worry about but he's booked me back in for 30th Oct to see if it's still there and if so then I'll be referred to ultrasound. I'm keeping busy as have 2 young children (also a single mum) but it is a worry. I've had shivers a couple of times the last 2 weeks (currently in bed under 3 blankets!) not sure if related though. No other symptoms like night sweats or weight loss. I am aways tired but think that comes with the territory of being a mum!
