Urgent Appointment Worry.

Hi, I have a MRI scan booked this weekend, and have just recieved an urgent appointment to see a Gynaecological oncologist. I am worried about this. Recently I was in pain and poorly so sent me for a scan where they said I have a thickness of the vagina and some fluid in the pelvis, I had a Hysterectomy 11 years ago, so I am worried as to what expect next. Any adive please? Thanks.

  • Hello Essex1967,

I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck for your MRI scan this weekend and welcome you to our forum. Luckily you won't have to wait too long now for your appointment it is great they have managed to see you this weekend. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out what is going on.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
