I’m really struggling to keep it together after an MRI on my 13 year old son has shown a pineal lesion. I took him to the GP because of ongoing headaches with no other symptoms. He was sent for a hospital appointment and the paediatrician was almost sure it was anxiety related but recommended the MRI ‘just in case’. She was reassuring in as much as she says she can see ‘nothing sinister’ but he has to have contrast dye and also a spinal this time around in London,
I am torn between relief at having found something small and early on and sheer terror at what it could be. Does anyone have any advice or experience in this particular area?
Apparently pineal tumours are very rare.
Thanks in advance - feeling sick.
