Is it a brain tumour or anxiety

Hello everyone I hope me posting this doesn’t offend anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer because I’m just worried.

i have health anxiety and I have convinced my self I have a brain tumour this is the third time this has happened in 18 months and is killing me so I was wondering if I post my symptoms if anyone could tell me if I should be concerned

- ifeel like my memory is getting worse and worse I keep forgetting to do things I was thinking about seconds earlier

-I’ve been finding it really hard to concentrate recently

-when I run I feel like this ache at the top of my head like something under the skull is pushing it

any ideas?

  • Hiya , firstly many brain tumours are benign (non cancerous). Secondly, speaking as someone diagnosed with a brain tumour, my motto is never take chances. I spent years back and forth the docs with symptoms and in the end I paid private to see a consultant who did an mri scan. That's how my brain tumour was found. I actually thought I was becoming an hypochondriac!

To put your mind at rest, get your BP checked and ask for an mri.  It might all be stress related but why not have peace of mind. Good luck xx

  • Hiya, I hope you are well, I was wondering what your symptoms were as I have been back and forth with the doctor for years, it was actually my opticians that referred me to hospital and then they arranged the brain MRI and the dyed MRI also. I have been having headaches and light sensitivity for a week now and nausea with dizziness. I'm forgetting things and have brain fog. My eyes arent moving properly with light test's too, but all my other eye tests are fine. I do also have a virus atm. My other symptoms with docs have been chronic fatigue,  loss of libido, very snappy, night sweats, hot flushes. I'm really worried and scared. Awaiting my scan results x

  • Hey I have had really similar symptoms to you. I was also getting headaches and dr referred me to neurology in 2019 I was told it was just an attention issue.

I have since been diagnosed with inattentive adhd this year after lots of searching for answers. I honestly thought I was getting dementia or something! Might be worth looking into.
