A bit scared I may have cervical cancer

I really apologise for sounding like a bit of a hypochondriac. I am 49, have hpv and after cin was identified during a recent colposcopy (I’ve had this before) I have to go for loop treatment. I have previously had cin2 and just know it’s cin so far. I also have irregular bleeding. I’m scared on 2 fronts:

1. The leep pricedure

2. I have cancer that hasn’t yet been diagnosed.

    Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear that you need some treatment after your cervical screening. 

    We've some information on our website about the LLETZ (or leep) treatment that you mention. You can read more here. 

    It's not unusual to feel a little worried about the procedure and what may happen afterwards.
