Lump in Armpit

Hey everyone , 

Simular to other posts I have read, I got a lump around the size of a 10p under my armpit whilst in holiday around 4 weeks ago. Saw the doctor whilst away and he gave me antibiotics( didn’t feel unwell at all apart from anxiety of the lump) being honest I couldn’t stop touching it and was squeezing it a lot to try and get it to go!! 

I felt like I could feel the mass squeeze out internally but nothing like puss came out of  it. 

2 weeks ago I paid to see a private doctor ( as I couldn’t get into my GP for 4 weeks) and he told me it was nothing, and to just check it had gone in a couple of weeks so to book back in with him. That appointment was today and I’m just not convinced with his consultation, I’m certainly not one to question Consultations knowledge, but the plastics doctor ( which his online profile says he is ) advises that malignant growths do not act like this, that if it was cancer, more than one lymph node would be enlarged and that it’s normal for a lymph node to never reduce in size, to what I have read in many pages, this is incorrect ! 

Its now about 10mm, doesn’t hurt. I have completely lost my appetite in the past 72 hours but this may just be the mega stress this is causing me!!! 

Any advise would be very much appreciated

    Just wondering if you have changed deodorant or anything.

    I recently had a hard lump in the armpit with pain that radiates all the way into the breast.  It went away only to reoccur 3 more times to i eventually tied it to Dove deodorant.

    sorry can’t be any help on particular concerns you have but just going by painful lump in my armpit that the connection i made

    Not really, i have always used different ones and never had a reaction. 

    I'm hopeful that it has just been a cyst which has gone down and the small lump which is left is just the cyst sack or something. The consultant i saw was pretty convinced it was nothing to worry about, i just was left unsure with him suggesting that if it was to be cancer that more than one Lymph Node would be swollen and to my knowledge and reading tells me that this doesnt have to be the case. 

    I have had tests for sinister things before, but have never being as worried aa i am now, i genuinely feel like i am close to a break down with pure worry!

    I can relate to that worry...just in a different region.  My advice would be you know your body so don’t ignore.  

    Additionally dove was not completely new to me. I had used it before for long periods, just hadn’t in a while. I just seemed to develop a reaction to it.  I since used it on a just to see basis and although i didnt get the lump i got the same pains. Strangeky too it only bothers my left side.
