Hi, this is my first post.

I had an early menioause and took HRT for years then came off it about 5 years ago and didn't have any periods, I'm now 47. 

2 weeks ago I came on & had quite heavy bleeding which was very dark almost black blood and had very sharpe pains that felt like scrapping in my stomach and gave me a kind of tugging sensation that seemed to go to the tops of my legs. I went to my GP last Wednesday who booked me straight away to be seen by a gynocologist. I had my 1st appiontment yesterday and was given a womb biospy and today I had an ultra sound scan, apparently I was also booked in for an internal scan which I declined as I'm still sore from the biopsy yesterday/, I have been peeping on this forum a fair bit the last few days, trying to figure out what to expect etc so during my scan today I asked what was the thickness of my womb lining, the nurse said it was 4.1 mm...am I right in thinking thats totally normal??? I kinda feel like I'm out of the woods now that my womb lining is within normal range and that perhaps the bleed was just my hormones having a bit of a kick off.....am I being too optimistic here? Other symptoms are extrene tirednes, zero appetite & bloating.
