Cin 3 & Ovary Cyst!

Hi, Newbie here....

So I've just been through a lucky escape having CIN 3 with clear margins. Still waiting for my cure smear (6 months) after the cervix being taken away. I missed one smear ever and it was a bad mistake that I've learnt from but it had gone over my head because I was on my monthlys at the time I was called so I missed one. Never again! So for years I've had some sort of pain in my stomach, belly button infections ONLY when due on my monthlys and back and thigh pain. I've out weight on and my stomach is always bloated. I've been back and forth to my doctors for now about 7 years! I've been prescribed laxatives due to constipation, pain relief and tablets for heavy periods, also having numerous water infections, still my symptoms persisted. After searching online which can also be scary I went back to the doctors and insisted on a scan to check my ovaries! Today I've been told I have a 3cm cyst on the scan on one of my ovaries absolutely gutted but then again im relieved. I have to wait 10 weeks yes 10 weeks for another scan to check that the cyst isn't caused from hormones. Ermmmm pain for 7 years???? But nevertheless something will get sorted but this 10 weeks is going to be another roller coaster ride emotionally. Please please has anyone been through a similar experience and if So, how did u cope with the pain and how was your treatment?

    I'm sorry you've had these symptoms, but it's good your doctor has been monitoring these cysts. It may be hard, but try not to google. When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better.  And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.

    Hi Missydee,

    I am so thankful to have found someone going through the same kind of thing. I’m currently in the middle of a load of testing as I have an ovarian cyst, cervical polyp, back pain and get urine infection after urine infection.

    I’m still waiting for my rescan too for the very same reason! That latter cannot come quick enough as I’m climbing the walls with worry!

    Have you had any updates?

    I know me sharing my story won’t necessarily help you, but know that you are not alone in this!

    I understand Dr Google is so naughty BUT if I didn't Google I would not have insisted on trans vaginal ultrasound to check my ovaries so it can sometimes work in favour well it has on this occasion x

    I have read back on what I wrote and oh My, my predictive texting is horrendous! Anyway.... I have had my 6 month test of cure smear and my results have come back all negative!! Next smear due 2022!! I haven't had any belly button infections anymore even though I was told it wasn't connected with what I had but who knows I don't care, it's cleared . My stomach is still in some pain on a daily basis and my monthlys are still really heavy and painful. But my back pain has gone which is a bonus. I'll see when I go for this scan again to check my ovaries and hopefully find out what's going on there. I have just been a weeks course for yeast infection one thing after another! But I'll update once I've had this ovarian scan done. I hope all is getting better for you. It's not a nice thing to experience but I'm hopeful and I'm wishing you all the best for your scan x
