Hi girlygirl.... If it has gone to the bones it's not the end of the world, mines gone from the prostate to lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis and a lung, that was Feb 2016,,, psa 1581 stage 4 gleason 8,, t3b  n1  m1b,, I'm on permanent hormone therapy and cemotheropy when kneaded, I'm living a normal life apart from getting older aches and panes, I'm 67 i was still working, metal fabrication and welding, till i had to retire to look after my disabled wife she needs 24 /7 care,, I've still got cancer it's just an uninvited guest,, best wishes.. I had a bone scan it's part of there system I did have prostate cancer but the bone scan was just to see if it had spread I was just like you panic they can do so much with radiotherapy now hopefully that's all he will need I had injections fist for 3months before my radiotherapy

I had radiotherapy 28 sessions I now have just injection every 3 months and   a tablet every day to relax prostate I was like you panic gleeson 9 PSA 11.9 you have to wait 3weeks for biopsy results anyways

Thank you - he only had his biopsy last Friday but when they said he needed a bone scan we assumed they’d looked at results and saw cancer

That's part of there checks my wife was the same  panicking unfortunately she died half way through my treatment I still have not had my final result next month I hope but when you next see the specialist he will tell you everything so write down some questions now , so you can ask then
