Results tomorrow, panicking

Hi all,

On 2nd of August I had a testicle removed, suspected testicular cancer. Had a CT scan the following week. I didn't recieve any updates on the results and thought I was in the clear and the tumor was non cancerous.

Just today I received a call from a clinic asking me to come for a oncology appointment. Does this mean it's bad news? My whole world is crashing down, please help me calm down.

Well fingers crossed ...your not alone .. that's how we all were waiting for results ... but either way it's better knowing then staying in the dark ... let us know how you go ... Chrissie x

No - they can give all sorts of information via your meeting so please don't automatically think the worst (although I know it is hard not to). I do hope your results are good news, with best wishes x

Hello again,
The results were quite good. The biopsy showed a seminoma, less than 2cm diameter, no signs of spreading. One round of chemo and 5 years of monitoring is the plan for now.

What's more alarming is that the oncologist seemed genuinely confused that I didn't have my results yet. So, apparently my consultant/surgeon forgot about them and that I should have been notified weeks ago. Thank you both for your support.
