I have found a lump in my armpit.

Hi

I have had a lump in my armpit for over four months now. I left it hoping that it would go away but it hasn't... I went to the Dr who said that it isn't a hair follicle or lump from shaving so he has sent me for an ultrasound scan. I have got to ring the hospital today after 11am to book an appointment...

    Welcome to our forum. I can imagine it must be a very anxious time for you as you are waiting to find out more. You've done the right thing to go to the doctor and I hope the ultrasound scan will shed some light on what it might be. Have you managed to ring the hospital to book your appointment? 

    Keeping everything crossed for you. I hope you won't have to wait too long for the ultrasound scan and that everything turns out fine.

    Hi I called yesterday and they said that they don't do scans for women, that the g p should refer me to the breast unit... I called them this morning and no referral so I have had to call the gp to send it to the right place. Now I feel anxious about if it will happen....
