Hi
New to this forum so hello :) I found a large lump near my nipple about a week ago- could feel it was tender and could see it looked kind of swollen.
I went to the nurse in Thursday and have been referred to a clinic as an urgent referral- is this just standard procedure?
Am freaking out a bit as lost a close friend to Triple Negative Breast Cancer recently and have two young sons.
The nurse did say she thought she could feel lumps in both boobs although not as big in the other one. She also asked about skin puckering/dimpling but I think that's normal for me as I've lost a lot of weight and gone down a lot of cup sizes since having children so to be honest my boobs are covered in stretch marks/horrible wrinkled skin etc.
It's scaring me now though as I stupidly googled it and saw it is another sign of breast cancer!! Why did I do that?!
In otherwise very good health, just done my first two triathlons. Could it be something minor or hormonal? It is currently time of the month so I found the lump/tender area about 10 days before period.
Xx
