Hello Christinere,
I just wanted to welcome you to the forum. I am sorry to hear you have been recalled to the breast clinic this Monday. I can understand why you are feeling worried after you have been through two years ago and I can imagine this weekend is particularly stressful for you while you are waiting to be seen. I hope you will hear from others here who have been through a similar experience before and that they will be along to share their story with you.
Keeping everything crossed for you on Monday. If you get a chance, do come back here and let us know what they have said.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
not good news. they found a lump in my other breast, got to see surgfeon next wednesday
Hi there ..
So sorry you've been recalled ... it's our worst fear after breast cancer .. but please keep in mind , 8.5 out of ten call backs from mamorgrams are o.k ...
But if it is , then you've done it once .. get those boxing gloves back out ... you can do it again if your backs against the wall .. the lass that helped me had the same as you and it was positive .. she had the second op .. and is still here .. hopefully she may pick this up and put your mind at rest [@Jolamine] ..
So hold on in there, till you know .. fingers crossed it's o.k ... Chrissie x
Hi Christiner,
Welcome.to our forum. I am so sorry to.hear about your recall following a routine mammohram. It is over 15 years ago since I too had a recall following a routine mammogram. I worried myself sick about the possible outcome, but in the end, all was clear.
Unfortunately, I discovered a breast lump 5 yers later and wasn't.so lucky. I was told that I had mucinous breast cancer and I had a lumpectomy followed by Tamoxifen. About 6 months later I discovered a larger lump in my other breast and fortunately this was benign.
Another six months on I discovered another lump in the original breast and had a double mastectomy followed by Letrozole for 6 years. I finished taking this in July 2017 and, I am.pleased to say that I am still here.
There is a good chance that you will still be ok, as many recalls are.just to get a clearer picture. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the lump in your other breast is benign too.
There is little point in me telling you not to worry, because we all.do. Please.keep in touch and let us know how you get on this Wednesday. We are.always here for you.
Here's hoping and praying for good news.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
