Vaginal bleeding

Hi a few years I had a smear and all was normal. A few months later I had bleeding and pain after sex. Turns out I had abnormal cells and had then lasered off, can’t remember the category but think it was the lowest one. I haven’t had a period in over 7 years due to the mini pill but for the past few days I have been nothing blood when I wipe after going to the toilet. Don’t want to waste the doctors appointment if anyone knows any other causes. Thanks

    I am sorry to hear about this vaginal bleeding you have been experiencing in the last few days. Don't worry you would not be wasting the doctor's time so do make an appointment as soon as you can to see the doctor who will be in the best position to tell you what is causing this bleeding. 

    I hope the appointment goes well and that you soon get some clarity on this.

    Hi Sally87,

    Sorry you have this happening, I have had this too in the last few weeks. I saw the GP and she referred me on her computer straight away to the Post Menopausal Bleeding Clinic at my local hospital. I had a phone call from them 3 days later to say I would be seen within 2 weeks as it is something they need to check out. I saw the Gynae specialist and also had internal tests and biopsies done at the same time. I am now going back after the tests, as the Specialist wants to see me. So yes do go and see your GP and explain and they will decide what to do next.
