I honestly don't have any advice, but it's more than likely just the referral timescale to see you within too week. I know a lot of places/hospital aim to try and see you within 2 weeks now. 

I too suffer from health anxiety. It peaked around 2 months ago and I'm only just starting to feel 'normal' I'm now on 30mg of citalopram and I start CBT today. I'm waiting for results on a mole biopsy and the wait is just awful. So I know exactly how you are feeling. You wouldn't believe the tests and gp appointments I've had over the past couple of months. I won't try to tell you to keep busy and take your mind off it as I know that doesn't work. I found talking about it helps. My partner has heard everything on repeat over the past few weeks... but having him hear me out helps a lot. Good luck and let me know how you get on xx

I've had it most my life and it sometimes is crippling.  I use to live at the GP and all the tests and so on came back normal so I developed a strange sense of if I panic nothing bad will happen.

Looking at symptoms which again is stupid I've self diagnosed I have it and already thinking wonder what 2020 will be like etc. My GP did not seem that worried and said he doubts it's the big C but me getting an appointment in two days make me wonder do they know something I don't.

I've never been under and the thought of that just for a biopsy scares the living daylights out of me. I wish I was as brave as so r of these great people on here and never give up.

You are brave. You'll be a lot braver than you think and you know what... you do what needs doing. I've fretted so much about my biopsy results that it's literally taken over my life. The longer I'm waiting the more its impacting me... but I think if it is melanoma, I'm hoping I find the strength for my 2 boys to fight my way through it. It's scary and it's my biggest, biggest fear. Cancer is literally what my anxiety is based around. I think people find the strength because they have too. I'm sure you will be fine and if you're doctor didn't seem concerned then I would just try and go with that. Have you had any antibiotics in case it's an infection? Is it sore? I had my tonsils out when I was little, so I wouldn't even know what I'm looking for. Xx

You are strong and hopefully it comes back all clear. My little boy is starting school Monday so I will be strong for him.  Most of what I worry is impact on other people without even being looked at.

I noticed my right tonsil was larger then my left (slightly in February and thought nothing of it I suffer from tonsil stones almost daily) and it would sometimes rub against my tongue.

Last week I noticed my tonsil was again rubbing against my tongue and thought I'd go see what my GP says. I have no sore throat, I sometimes have a lump feeling in my throat and not had diagnosed toncilitis for some years.

He was unsure whether to refer me at first saying it does not look anything sinister, no lympth nodes swollen etc. But then said I'll refer to fast track to get it looked at, but he doesn't think it's cancer.

I've read 9/10 of these appointments are benign and not cancer as tonsil is a rare form but I'm worries simply because I had an appointment in a day?
