I don't know what to do or where to turn
Mum's been ill before and hid it for months before we got her to a doctor when she told us she had found a lump in her breast, things happened pretty quickly and she had a mastectomy then radio and chemo thrown at her, it was a horrendous time and she was really ill. At the same time as this one of her closest friends was diagnosed with terminal cancer & my mum tried to be strong for her and put a brave face on.
Luckily for us Mum went into remission but her friend went downhill fast and when she passed my Mum felt guilty that she was still here and at the time some horrible things were said.
A few months ago she starts to complain of feeling ill, sick and losing weight but wouldn't go to the GP. One particularly bad day i had been out shopping with her and could tell how much pain she was in so took her to the GP surgery but they wouldn't see her with no appointment, next one was the week after. That same day I decided enough was enough and took her to a walk in at the hospital where we got the ball rolling with investigations.
Didn't think anything too much into it at the time! We are now months down the line and she's just getting worse, thinner, constantly in pain but still putting a face on for our sake. She has a follow up appt for the results of a biopsy and I'm scared to find out what's going to happen. After her biopsy her discharge papers said they were investigating for metatastic breast cancer.
I work in a doctor's surgery so I am a bit more clued up than my brothers and sisters and can't bare to start a conversation with them about it.
I know I should Just wait and see what happens at her appointment but I can just feel it's going to be bad news and just feel... I don't even know
