Breast lump

Hi just looking to see if anybody else has been in my shoes..

I found a lump in my left breast a couple of months ago doctor send me to breast doc in hospital who refrerrd me for an ultrasound.. today I got that done the lady who done the ultrasound said maybe it could be benign but because of its size been over 2cm I needed to get a biopsy done this morning and 2 samples send off.. Just wondering has anybody else been there and what was the outcome thanks x

lots of us have been there, some turn out to be cancerous and some not. It’s best to err on the side of caution and get a biopsy done just to be 100% sure - wouldn’t want woman walking away from scans told theirs was benign when it wasn’t.
try not to worry too much

Thank you for your reply yeah I got the biopsy done this morning and now have the wait of 2 weeks before I know anything

sadly siting around waiting for results can be a anxious time - so suggest you try and put it to the back of your mind and get on to normal day to day things. Although I did take the opportunity to treat myself, meals out, hair cut, manicures etc - made me feel better and took my mind off things.

Hi Sandra, I know it’s easier said than done but do try not to worry like Maggie says,not all lumps are cancerous.... you’ll get your results in a couple of weeks !! Treat yourself while you wait. Much love Jackie xxx
