Hello
I've never really posted to one of these forums before but I've just been referred to a breast clinic, and my appointment is just 4 days after I saw the nurse at my GP surgery.
Id noticed a bit of itching in one nipple for quite a while but it seemed to come and go so I didn't think much of it. A couple of times I've had pain in that breast too. Then a while ago I noticed the nipple looked a bit different to normal, with a crack in it and flaking skin. I couldn't really feel any obvious lumps. Finally went to the nurse on Monday and she said I had very lumpy breast tissue but there was one lump she pointed out to me. It was quite small and hard. I don't think it was very moveable. She said I was low risk for cancer but now I've had the referral so quickly I'm scared she must think it's serious. I have no idea how long the lump has been there and nipple changes started about 2 month ago I think. I feel so stupid for ignoring it now. Ive had pretty severe anxiety and depression for two years and can't help feeling that might be a cause if it is cancerous.
Inwondered if anyone else has had a quick referral? I'm expecting the absolute worst right now
