So scared. Not sure what to do

Hi.

I hope I am posting in the correct place.

Basically, I have had a sore throat on one side for around 10 weeks. I also have ear pain on the same side as well as swollen lymph nodes on that side too.

I have seen my GP regarding this and was to go back if things didn’t improve (no signs of throat or ear infection).

I have since noticed a small ulcer type sore on my top gum.

I am absolutely terrified and too scared to go to the GP.  I haven’t told anyone about this either.

I am a 42 year old female, married with 2 kids.

How on earth do I find the courage to get this checked out?

  • Hi there, pretty much everyone on this site at some time or other has felt the same but I urge you to go back to your GP. The thing is it could be 101 things but the sooner you get seen the easier it will be. I’ve ignored my symptoms for months thinking they will go away and they haven’t and I’m absolutely scared rigid. I’m going into hospital on Friday for a few procedures but obviously I’d sooner not. But I have to if I want to get better. Please go x
