Seeking experiences of other ladies who have had breast cancer diagnosed but without a lump being felt. I have been referred to the fast track breast clinic after attending my GP with underarm pain & swelling. . I have breast heaviness,  stabbing pains behind my nipple, general pain otherwise and an enlarging breast on one side only.  I have what appears to be a change in colour on the outer aspect of this breast (more veiny)but no specific inflammation or redness. The breast  and underarm were very painful on examination and feels hard and more swollen than the other side.  I am 45yrs old and otherwise very healthy. The gp didn't even suggest mastitis or to watch and wait but referred me straight in. Have any other ladies had similar experiences with this type of symptoms. It's weird to say that something feels wrong but the underarm pain came before the breast pain etc. I am concerned about IBC but without the external inflammation ..though I appear to have other symptoms. Has anyone else had this?
