Hi, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and have had brown mucous spotting intermittently since becoming pregnant. Midwives reassured that this can be normal in pregnancy but advised if it were to carry on I should get a speculum examination done to look at the cervix. I have had this done and the g.p has said she can see a reddish area with a blood clot at the lower lip of cervix. This has of course worried me, g.p is going to let me know next course of action. I'm 33 and have had two previous smear tests both normal, the last one was Feb 2017. I know that anything to do with cervix whilst pregnant needs to be approached with caution. Just looking for some feedback/advice. Thanks
