Breast Cyst Aspiration

I had a breast cyst aspiration on the 19th and got 25ml of fluid taken out the cyst. The fluid was fine so it didn’t need checked. I am just wondering how long people were sore for? I am still really sore when I touch the area. I just wondered if it might take a few weeks to settle down since it was a big cyst or should I go to the DR to get checked? Any help would be much appreciated as this is my first one and don’t think it’ll be my last.

  • Welcome to the forum misscrd08 although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

    Hopefully some of our members who have had this procedure will share their experiences with you soon but if you're worried then there's no harm popping to your GP to get some reassurance as well.

    Our cancer nurses are available for a chat during the week so do give them a call if you'd like to discuss this with them. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040.

    Hi misscrd hope you don't mind me answering being male but my wife's had four done over the years, first three saw for couple of days last one pain for about three weeks it was OK till something touched it or she moved wrong, but if not sure go to GP best wishes.. Billy
