Scared and in need or advice/reassurance

Hey everyone.

I hope there is someone that can offer a bit of advice and appologies for the long post.

I went to the doctors just over a week ago about a lump in my left breast along with 2 indentations around it. The lump has been there for a couple of years and the dr that first examined it (2 years go) said he thought it was nothing to worry about so nothing was done. However, a few weeks ago, I noticed it had gotten bigger, felt harder and now had the 2 indentations around it so off inwent to the doctor fully expecting her to say it was nothing to worry about but straight away she said she was making a fast track referral to the breast clinic for a mammogram, ultrasound and examination with a cobsultant.

My appointment is tomorrow morning and im absolutely terrified. I keep thinking the worst is going to happen and i just can stop thinking about it. Im 29 years old and had my first baby in may 2017.

Im just after a bit of advice on what to expect really. Is it likely to be something sinister? I know its not common in under 40's but i just keep thinking, it does happen. Also does it make a difference that i had a baby, does that increase the risk. Im driving myself mad.

Thanks
