Breast pain

Hi I've been havin sharp stabbing pains in my left brest feels quite heavy and tender too it's painful when I cough or breath in and very uncomfortable to sleep ...2 Drs examined me no lump was found however I've been refered to breast clinic 

My mum's sister had breast cancer 

I'm going out of my mind with worry

Can anyone tell me if theve experienced this before and if so what was the outcome 

I'm 33 years old I have other health problems which maybe I thought this might be linked to I've been havin these pains for about 3 weeks now in my breast ...sometimes it goes underneath my breast 

My other health problems are...pulmonary stenosis....I was also born with a hole in my heart ...I have a leaking heart valve. .astmah and anemia

    Welcome to Cancer Chat, although I'm sorry to hear about the pain and what you're going through at the moment.

    I'm glad to hear you went to the doctor quickly and that you're getting it examined. These sorts of symptoms are fairly common and quite often turn out to be something benign. However, the doctors will be able to best advise after you've had the tests done.

    In the meantime, try to keep as busy as possible to keep your mind off the appointment. And try to stay positive - there's nothing you can do until you know more unfortunately. I know a lot of this is easier said than done.

    There are many others here who have gone through something similar so do use this forum to talk through any worries if you find it helpful.
