CA125 results

Hi, my mum in her mid 70s has been having pelvic pain, been to GP who couldn’t find anything to feel in her abdomen but has requested CA125. She’s been told today that she needs to have CA125 repeated as test results raised. Any idea why they would repeat tests? What else should happen now?

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm unsure exactly why they would be repeating the test in your mum's case, but it may simply be for extra verification or to double check something. As you can read on this page, sometimes CA125 can be raised for other reasons.

    I'm sure after the second test the doctors will confirm what the next steps are to be, so hopefully it won't be too much longer before you find out more.
