Confused

Hi, i am new to this and have never posted on a forum before. However on this occasion I am at my wits end and need advice. I found a lump in June, I have had the mammogram and ultrasound scan which was inconclusive so my breast surgeon removed the lump for pathology to determine what it was. I have now received an appointment to go and see an oncologist as the lump came back inconclusive and I am confused. Do I have cancer? Not have cancer? What will oncologist do next? My feelings and emotions are all over the place, one minute I think I’m ok, the next I’m thinking do I need a mastectomy, more surgery, I don’t know what to expect next.Has anyone else gone through this?

thank you
