Hi Everyone,
Almost 2 weeks ago I noticed a lump below my right collarbone towards the shoulder end. When I felt it, it felt like a ripe grape and it moves easily from bellow my collarbone to right on the bone when I poke it or turn my head. It is visible when I stand with my arsm by my sides.
I went to the GP the following day, who has a mixed reaction towards it. At first, when she felt it, it was right on the bone and felt firm, so she said it was a lymph node but she has second thoughts after I she examined me in a lying down flat position. She examined my breasts and noted they were not lumpy in the slightest. Nor were my armpits. She also noted that the lump kept changing position and it felt quite soft. She then mentioned Lipoma. I asked which she felt more likely and she said Lipoma but she is not sure so referred me for an ultrasound which I am having in 1 weeks. She also noted that the lymph node is usually in the hollow area between the neck and collarbone, which mine isn't, but it still pretty close.
I have no symptoms. Not especially fatigued, no sweats, no bruising or anything at all to report. I have a healthy appetite and I have noticed no other swollen areas.
A couple of days ago, I was sitting on the sofa and out of nowhere I felt a sharp itch on my right shoulder blade. I then rapidly developed a very red blotch rash local to only the shoulder blade and back of neck. It hasn't faded at all since, but doesn't itch so much. This did get me worrying.
The lump has not disappeared and I don't think its got bigger.
I'm now feeling very worried. I know lumps on collarbones are not good. I know lymphoma can have no symptoms at all. I also know it can cause rashes sometimes.
I really don't know what to think. I'm a 38 year old mother of 1.
Is there anybody that can share their thoughts on this?
