Mri results

Hi,  I found out they have my mri results now after 12 days. I been asked to come in beginning next month to discuss it. Should I be concerned or worried about it?

  • Hello Butterfly125,

Waiting for test results and appointments can be such a difficult time can't it! I think every one of our members here will have felt the way you do at some point.

It's positive that your results are back and that you have an appointment booked. You know now when you will get your results. It won't be a case of waiting daily for the phone to ring or the postman to call.

Try to keep busy between now and your appointment. No amount of worrying will change whatever your results are, but it will make the next few weeks more difficult if you're anxious. Try to give Dr Google a very wide berth. You won't find the answers there. I can see that the news you were given last year was that the lump was benign so focus on that fact and that it won't be long before you have some answers to your questions and hopefully the team will be able to talk about the best way forward to deal with things.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • hi, thanks for your message . i have reuested a copy of the results in post and i read them yesterday and am confused by what it says. it says it cannot locate the mass from the field it was taken from . what does that mean? uss showed mass, mri saying they cannot see anything from the field it was taken.  it says this' i am uncertain as to whether the clinically is within the field view of this scan?'  can someone just explain that sentence to me , does that mean i need a rescan?

  • Hi Butterfly125

It can be confusing reading clinical results.

Unfortunately I'm not able to answer your question. If you don't feel able to wait for your appointment with the specialist to discuss the results then maybe you could call your GP next week and ask them if they're able to give you any further information.

Sorry I'm not able to help further.

    Best wishes,
