Lump on clavicular

Hi

I went to the dentist a few weeks ago and he said my throat looked as if it had been scalded. I went to the doctors expecting some antibiotics, he examed my neck and asked how long I’d had the lump on my clavicular, shoulder bone base of neck.. I hadn’t even noticed it even though I moistures every day it just wasn’t an area that I would feel for lumps. He sent me for x ray and blood tests but all ok. He has referred me as an urgent case to the ear, nose and throat specialist almost a week ago, my neck at the back also feels swolllen but I think I’m now seeing everything as abnormal. It is the waiting that is horrid, the not knowing, I’m 67 in October , still working, still planning, still enjoying life and my grandchildren. I am so sorry for the other young mothers worrying about a similar thing. Hold on in there.

  • Hi Dottygwen and welcome to the forum.

I'm glad the x-ray and bloods came back ok but I can understand the worry you may be having about your appointment with an ENT specialist.

We have some information on our website about urgent referrals which I hope will help put your mind at ease a bit but hopefully some of our members will pop by soon to offer their support as well.

Wishing you all the best with your referral Dottygwen.

    Kind regards,
