Shadow on lung and crackles - does anyone have same symptoms

Hi there, I have had shortness of breath, wheezing, and 2 minor chest infections causing chesty cough. I kept being fobbed off with asthma by my doctor. It started in March and I finally had an x Ray by a respiratory specialist yesterday which showed large shadow on my left lung. I have a Ct scan on Monday and I am petrified. I have 2 small children aged 7 and 4.

I am in general good health, smoked as a student for probably around 10 years but stopped 10 years ago.

I’m wondering if anyone has similar symptoms - I can always feel cracking when I exhale, it’s niouse, my wheezing is loud. I feel short of breath doing simple things, but when I breathe it feels blocked. I can hear it, like breathing though a damp sponge that on exhalation makes strange bubbling sensations, noises, high pitcher noise too like a balloon being deflated - has anyone had this?

I am currently on the last day of antibiotics for the Chet infection feeling but it’s not working.

I am terrified I have lung cancer and been crying all night.
